Primary Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and responsible for consistent achievement of our mission financial objectives and the administration oversight and accountability of all operations.
Ensure safe and humane treatment of animals in our care and advocate for humane treatment of animals.
Oversee all aspects of animal care in accordance with State and local laws.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for their care and handling.
Be the driving force behind our fundraising and development efforts.
This includes developing and implementing fundraising campaigns building relationships with donors and sponsors and managing grants and philanthropic efforts.
Develop annual operating budget to accomplish yearly operational goals.
Fiscally responsible for profit and loss.
Lead our team of employees be responsible for recruitment training employment and release of all personnel both paid staff and volunteers.
Proactively negotiate and manage all operational and funding contracts.
Seek and cultivate community donor and volunteer relationships.
Function as the principle public relations officer for the organization.
Clearly communicate the vision mission programs and services of LCHS to all stakeholders.
Refresh service offerings and grow our organization to meet outyear operating expenses.
Continually observe conditions within the organization and recommend changesimprovements to the Board of Directors to ensure efficient use of resources and sustainability of operations.
Use computer tablet camera graphics and printing equipment and software daily in fulfillment of oversight and public affairs responsibilities of the organization.
Report regularly to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications Fundraising abilities.
Demonstrated experience in fund raising required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Compassion for the safe and humane treatment of animals.
Deep understanding of the mission and values of the organization.
BABS degree in related field is preferred for this position.
to years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience preferably in a nonprofit environment.
Prior experience in animal shelter management or related field is preferred.
Business acumen.
Must be able to Advocate strongly for the safe and humane treatment of animals.
Review interpret and draw conclusions from numerical and financial data.
Operate and train and oversee staff in operating modern office equipment including computers tablets cameras communications and printing equipment and software programs to include databasespreadsheets word processing online data entry programs such as Shelter Software system Square and PointofSale system graphics creation Canva application and website and social media applications.
Provide strong leadership to accomplish goals through employees and volunteers.
Work odd hours inspect andor fill in eveningsweekends as staffing situation and fundraising activities may require at both Shelter and Thrift Store.
Innovatively accomplish the goals of the organization with limited resources.
